Privacy Policy for The Ref

The Ref ("the App") is a scorekeeping app for Word Tiles, Cribbage, Skibity-doo, and custom games, published by SRW Creates (bundle identifier SRW-Creates.ScoreKeeper). This policy explains, plainly, what happens with your information when you use it.

This policy applies only to The Ref. SRW Creates publishes other apps, each with its own privacy policy specific to that app — this page does not describe or govern any app other than The Ref.

The short version

The Ref does not collect, transmit, or share any of your personal information. Everything you enter — player names, scores, game settings, win history — stays on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere.

What the App stores, and where

The App saves the following locally on your device only, using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults):

• Player names you add to your roster
• In-progress and completed game scores
• Win/loss history and stats shown on the Rankings screen
• Your app preferences (favorite games, appearance, "Keep Screen Awake" setting)

None of this ever leaves your device. It is not uploaded to a server, not backed up to any service we operate (we don't operate one), and not visible to us in any way.

No accounts, no tracking, no third parties

• The App does not require you to create an account or sign in.
• The App does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind.
• The App does not use your device's network connection to send information anywhere.
• The App does not share data with any third party, because it does not collect any to share.

In-app purchases

If the App offers an optional in-app purchase (a one-time, non-gating "support the developer" purchase), that transaction is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not see or store your payment information — Apple's own privacy policy governs that part of the process.

Children's privacy

Because the App collects no personal information from anyone, including children, it does not knowingly collect data from users of any age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of the App adds a feature that changes what's described above — this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect that.
